Sara Šabec is a professor of pedagogy and andragogy, currently studying for an MA in philosophy of culture. She works as a freelance performer, pedagogue and producer active in the fields of street theatre, theatre pedagogy and art education. She is also a member of the Anke Piromanke street performance group. At Ana Monro Theatre, she is head of the School of Contemporary Performative and Street Arts, and the projects Kultura po meri and Z gledališčem nad učence in dijake. She helps organise the festivals Ana Desetnica, Ana Mraz, and Ana Plamenita, the International Festival of Contemporary Arts – City of Women, as well as the projects Ulice so naše (SEZAM), Mini poletje (Mini Theatre), and the theatre program of Mladinski klub Nade Žagar in Ilirska Bistrica. She collaborates with Kinodvor in the field of film education. Since 2000, she has been working with the City of Women, developing community projects connecting art and its audience with education.
